Cutting board.

Within a multicultural team we defined the cultural markers of two cultures through an iterative process of cooking and designing. We found that precision and beauty are important in the Chinese kitchen, whereas the Dutch prefer ease and convenience.
The cutting board with predefined cutting lines and the knife are a set. By running the knife through the grid you can easily cut the food in precise measurements. The cutting set allows the user to create pretty dishes with minimal effort, an integration of the Dutch and Chinese cultures.
